announced that DeLorme Earthmate PN-30 and PN-40 handheld GPS
receivers now display Navionics Gold marine charts and HotMaps
Premium lake maps, delivered on SD cards.The PN-Series receivers are unique in their ability to display multiple map, chart, and imagery types. Since the PN-Series’ inception, users have been able to view proprietary DeLorme Topo USA maps, plus color aerial imagery, authentic USGS 1:24,000 topo quads, and NOAA nautical charts.
The now-available Navionics detail includes underwater depth contours, wrecks, navigation markers, hazards, boat launch sites, underwater vegetation areas, and much more.
Navionics Boosts PN-Series’ Lead in GPS Map Options
With Navionics charts added to the mix, the PN-Series offers its users by far the most varied and detailed handheld GPS map and chart options.

DeLorme and Navionics worked closely in developing an Earthmate solution. Navionics cards insert into the provided Earthmate SD-card slots. The PN-receivers recognize the cards immediately upon insertion; no setup is required.
Navionics’ HotMaps features over 14,000 U.S. and Canadian lakes, plus 700 high-definition survey maps that include top tournament fishing lakes. The Gold marine charts offer coverage for coastal waters off all continents except Antarctica.
SD cards are sold separately from PN-Series receivers and are available at countless sporting goods and marine retailers throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Many leading retailers, including Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Hamilton Marine, and others carry both Earthmate and Navionics products.

Both the PN-30 and PN-40 feature the 32-channel Cartesio GPS chipset by STMicroelectronics. They’re waterproof (IPX7), WAAS-enabled, and have 500 MB of user-available FLASH memory, plus SD card slots that support SDHC high-capacity cards up to 32 GB.
The PN-30 is available in Safety Green or Realtree AP camouflage. The PN-40 comes in bright orange and includes both a 3-axis electronic compass and a sensitive barometric altimeter.
The included PN-Series topographic map DVDs run on both PC and Mac platforms for quick, easy transfers to the receivers. Topo USA 8.0 DVD mapping software (for PCs) is also included, for scouting, travel planning, road and trail routing, and GPS data exchanges.
