Garmin Water Rating Definitions

• IPX6: Protection against water projected at all angles through a 12.5mm nozzle at 100 liters/min + 100 kN/m2 pressure from 3 meters distance for 3 minutes.
• IPX7: Withstands incidental exposure to water of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
• 1 ATM: Withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 10 meters.
• 3 ATM: Withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 30 meters.
• 5 ATM: Withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters.
• 10 ATM: Withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 100 meters.
• Dive: Designed to comply with EN13319.
• Waterproof: Similar to Dive, this rating is used primarily for VIRB action cameras.
