Setting up a new 67i - arrived with firmware v.9.10. Installed IridiumWhere using this site's App repository, copied onto device, worked fine.
Upgraded firmware to latest, 9.40, IridiumWhere no longer starts up. Recopied file, same problem.
Get into ConnectIQ on the phone, but several issues:
- select 67i from registered devices (it was already there), checkmark is there, but shows "Not connected". No idea how to connect, if that's required as separate step.
- proceed anyway to locate IridiumWhere, choose Install. Message "will be available after syncing". NO instructions for how to do that.
- assume that it's the Explore app sync, try that, no indication that it syncs anything other than waypoints, tracks, etc.
- back in ConnectIQ, no way to remove and re-add a device. "Add a device" simply tells me to go to Garmin.com with no further help. All other help links in ConnectIQ are blank.
Anyone out there successfully used ConnectIQ app?

Re: Connect IQ problems
Garmin really have made a huge mess of all this. Used to be able to load and configure Connect IQ apps directly from the website using Garmin Express or Garmin Connect mobile app, now it all has to be done through the Connect IQ Store mobile app. The Connect app may still allow updates to be installed, but that may not be true for all devices.
You will have to get your device connect to your phone via Connect mobile, then add it to the Connect IQ Store mobile app, and that app will have to see it connected before you can do any Connect IQ updates, etc.
You may have to remove all devices from each other, reboot them both, the start over from the beginning.
Please see GPSrChive > How To... > Connect IQ for additional details.

Re: Connect IQ problems
Ah, so I need to enable Connect too, in addition to ConnectIQ. Sigh. Yes, I remember the old IQ website, really it was much TOO easy since everything just worked. I normally keep both Connects disabled on my phone since I have no use for fitness data or social media.
OK, with Connect paired (has its own sync) I see the new apps I had queued and they're installed. However, IridiumWhere still does not start up, so I suspect a compatibility issue with firmware 9.40. As consolation I now have a nifty Planets app to play with!
Does anyone else have IridiumWhere working on a 67 with latest firmware?

Re: Connect IQ problems
Sadly, Iridium Where also does not work on our 67 and 67i with current firmware installed.
The GPSMAP 67 / 67i are listed as compatible, but the app has not been updated since 2023.
More people need to submit bug report via Connect IQ store page so the app developer has motivation to update the app!

Re: Connect IQ problems
Thanks for confirmation. I submitted a report to the developer. Although I didn't use it very often, there are times when I'm in constricted areas (e.g. canyons) and it's nice to know if a satellite may come into view where I'm at.
Meanwhile after getting through initial setup ConnectIQ is working well so far. When I find one I like I save the file so to make it easier to add/remove as needed in the future.
