Find function bug.

Press find->recent finds->pick any one(I picked valencia in Spain)->enter .. the map appears of valencia press find again->entertainment->bar or nightclub = list of bars an night clubs here in my town up the road.

Press find->recent finds->same one (valencia)->push the curser any direction 1 click->Press find->entertainment->bar or nightclub-> list of bars and night clubs in valencia.

If you don't scroll atleast 1 click then you can't search the map in Spain for what you want (any findable place).

This is not a bug.

What you are wanting or expecting:

• Press FIND
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on current device location
• Select desired item
• Selected item is displayed on Map page
• Press FIND
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on most recent FIND result

How it actually works:

• Press FIND
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on current device location
• Select desired item
• Selected item is displayed on Map page
• Press FIND
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on current device location

Why it works this way:

• The GPSr has no way of 'knowing' if you want to continue searching near the most recent find, a previous find, or the current location, so it always defaults to the current device location unless otherwise instructed.
• If it worked the way you desired (the device always completes the next search based on the previous search result), users would complain there was a bug preventing them completing more than one search from their current location!
• As you have discovered, you can simply move the D-PAD one click in any direction, and in so doing, you have instructed the device to perform the next search from the cursors location instead of the device actual location.

You can also follow the workflow below to achieve similar results, as demonstrated at GPSrChive > GPSMAP 67 > Main Menu > Where To?

• Press FIND
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on current device location
• Press MENU
• Select 'Search Near'
• Select desired 'Search Near' option
• Select desired category
• Items are listed based on user selected 'Search Near' location

If you are not currently in Valencia
With the GPS signal turned on - Where to - Seacher Near - A Map Point or A Recent Find - select Valencia, then select Categories

Another option: switch your device to Demo mode,
in Satellite Setup turn on Use With GPS On, then Set Location On Map and move the map to the Valencia area, and search for objects (by category) will (until the GPS signal is turned on).
