satellite setup not always remembered

Unread post by lumpynose »

GPSMAP 66st, software version 3.10.

If I go into the Satellite menu and select Satellite Setup, and then set it to GPS + Galileo (WAAS/EGNOS on as well), sometimes when I turn it on it's back to just GPS. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm in the US; are there Galileo satellites over here?

Do you use Expedition Mode?

That sounds like a possible reason for what you are experiencing, as Expedition Mode disables all but GPS.

While Expedition Mode is active, only GPS is used. GLONASS, GALILEO, WAAS and EGNOS are disabled.

WHILE does mean during expedition mode, it should turn on the old settings, after expedition mode is no more active

That is exactly what my GPSMAP 66 is doing now. When I wake the device from Expedition Mode, the GNSS systems I have configured are again active.

EDIT: Not every time.......
