That’s my understanding as well, and the concern is that GARMIN doesn’t communicate on the subject when asked. We may wonder, in the future, if the PCB v8 will still have version upgrades and if the next ones will only concern PCB v.9. This would make our GMAP66, purchased before a certain date, obsolete models.

No, Garmin does not make that. All hw versions will get the update.gbt0 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:53 am That’s my understanding as well, and the concern is that GARMIN doesn’t communicate on the subject when asked. Garmin has never done such a thing in the past, and certainly we do not expect such behavior now or in the future.gbt0 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:53 am That’s my understanding as well, and the concern is that GARMIN doesn’t communicate on the subject when asked. Firmware v10.30 is only required to support the updated PCB v9, therefore earlier PCB units do not need it.
Future updates will support all PCB versions.
