Sorry I apologize for the confusion, I realize that I mixed up the word Route with Course.
What I meant to say is that the above problem happens with a Route or a Track that I've created in Basecamp and then converted to a Course in the GPSMAP67.
To address some of the questions:
The firmware version is 9.10.
I have the same "openfiets" map installed in both Basecamp and the device, but I think this problem is not due to the maps, otherwise it wouldn't be resolved by using the find menu instead of the main menu.
I think it is related to bug 35, but it is slightly different: in my case the GPSMAP calculation loads a course that is different from any other I have on the device, and it also leads to a destination that I don't have saved as a waypoint.
The issue of having a different or previous course loaded happened to me also. I don't know exactly what I changed but I think it depends on the routing settings. I think it happens when you have the "Direct Routing" option set to "Yes" and then you subsequently select "roads and trails". Once I turned this option to "No" it stopped loading a previously saved course.
I realize a calculated course might be a bit different from the original but in my case the difference is just too big and doesn't make sense. And once again, why would the correct course be calculated when using the Find menu? It's definitely a bug and not just an alternate route.
Actually I'm really happy with the way courses tend be very close if not exactly the same as the original track (when loaded via the Find menu). Whereas routes can be quite different from the original route made in Basecamp once the GPSMAP has finished its calculations.
