Just installed the new firmware version 3.50 and the problem still exists.

Where did you source the firmware 3.50 update?

It came via Garmin Express.

Garmin Express just showed me firmware version 3.60. This version solved the issue (but I did only a quick test so far).

Did your TopoActive maps get updated as well? I connected mine to update to 3.6, and it's updating the maps. I think it will also update the Firmware. I'm just curious to see if you had the same experience.

No it didn't. My TopoActive Europe maps are still at version 2020.10 (which isn't that old, but I think the device came with this maps version).

Interesting. My TopoActive maps have updated twice since I've had it. It now shows 2020.20. The South America DEM still shows 2020.10. FWI, mine did update to 3.6 after doing the map update.

The TopoActive maps are updated twice a year. The DEM data does not change very frequently, so those maps are updated less frequently.
