NMEA output via USB?

Does anyone know, if NMEA Output is possible via USB port?
While Garmin offers a cable, it's only MiniUSB. I have such cable, works with my 276Cx fine.
I wonder, if I could use that with an adapter to micro USB on the Montana 7X0 series?

If you are referring to Garmin Serial Data + Power Cable part number
010-11131-00, our understanding is that it will work with a micro USB to Mini USB adapter so long as the converter passes through pin 5 (ID pin), not just power, ground, D+ and D-.

Great, thanks for the hint. I will see, which adapter I can get and give a try.
