The compass does not work while moving. [Bug 122]

Hello.
I noticed on my 66st, while driving or even just accelerating on foot, the compass completely freezes. This is normal?
GPSMAP 66st firmware 6.00, on firmware 7.20 the same, I checked.
Profile - Hike. Route calculation - Straight.

Заметил на своём 66ст, во время движения на транспорте или даже просто при ускорении пешком, компас полностью замирает. Это нормально?
GPSMAP 66st прошивка 6.00, на прошивке 7.20 то же самое, проверял.
Профиль - Поход. Расчёт маршрута - Напрямик.

I also have had this issue. If you stop moving the compass points toward the waypoint, but when you start moving again it freezes.

To make this all more clear and easy to understand, you both are referring to the Bearing Indicator inside the Compass, and that is what 'freezes' during speedy movement, correct?
Or does the actual 'North' reference of the Compass Ring stop rotating?
Or both?

Hello. When moving quickly, the compass stops responding at all. Does not show the cardinal points, the arrow does not move. As soon as you stop, everything returns to normal.

Здравствуйте. Компас при быстром перемещении перестаёт реагировать совсем. Не показывает стороны света, не перемещается стрелка. Как только останавливаешься, всё приходит в норму.

I have not been able to duplicate yet, but if you can make a short video this will be very persuasive to Garmin software engineers.

Hi.
The compass rose works as a compass when one is standing still or moving very slowly. When moving a little bit faster, the compass rose will show the direction in which one travels. On older units there was a setting which said something like "use magnetic compass when moving slower than X km/h".
On the 66s(t) there is only auto or off option. Off means it always takes the direction from the detected movement, at least this is my understanding.
Therefore i think that what you think is that the compass has frozen, it is in fact not. Up on the screen (towards the top of the unit) is the direction that you are moving. Try making a slight turn and you will see that the compass rose will move. If possible hold the unit still in your hand, you will then be able to observe small changes.
