Re: GPSMAP65s - Galileo Satellites Flashing [Bug 8]
On my device 4.00 was preinstalled. There is still a bug with the satellites. At this moment I'm on a walk. And the satellites are flashing.
But maybe the preinstalled 4.00 release on my device is a betaversion. And the now officially released version has additional bugfixes.

No, Garmin does not do that.
Pre-installed 4.00 is identical to published update 4.00.
4.00 is 4.00 regardless of where you source it.

It was the same for me, then after a lot of tinkering and any kind of possible resetting action, the problem was gone just after disabling multi-gnss under system settings and re-enabling, then restarting the device.
I haven't tested a lot after that, but it seems to work at first glance. Maybe such action resets something in the ephemeris database. Just try.

They fixed something with 4.00 but not resolved the issue.
I would say they improved the occurrence from "always" to "usually" keeps flashing.
I hope they discovered a lot more bugs and will fix them.

Re: GPSMAP65s - Galileo Satellites Flashing [Bug 8]
I confirm, I usually find that it successfully locks onto the most intense signals only (typically from the satellites near my local zenith).
Anyway, I noticed some strange details: 3.80 firmware behaves better than 4.00 for me, very few GALILEO satellites will keep flashing with 3.80, but none becomes solid if CPE data has been updated approximately in the last 2-4 hours. In that time, disabling and re-enabling multi-gnss just works until you reboot.
I suspect that the fact is somehow related to satellites' precise ephemeris, because they expire in about that period, forcing the device to re-acquire them from satellite downlink. There could be some bugs while reading them from CPE.BIN file. These could be just fantasies, though.
Could someone confirm whether there are differences between 3.80 and 4.00?

I see that Garmin doesn't care about the world and sucks with their multi-bands.

Hello
For me, after the update to 4.00
the Galileo satellites are recognized and stop flashing very quickly. This after a fresh CPE.bin has been loaded, I'll see tomorrow how things are going with the Galileo satelites.
Whether these are still found, or whether there are "none"

I have deleted CPE.BIN from the unit. Since then for a few days in row there is no unexpected flashing anymore, and many satellites are acquired. I hope I write this not too early.
