Hi,
Just bought a 2nd hand Montana 680 for walking and trail bike riding.
How do you plan a walking route? I can’t seem to get a grip with the thing, is there a idiots guide to these things?
Thanks.
Useless newby.

The Montana 680 is a very mature and reliable GPSr.
I must first ask if this is your first Garmin GPSr? If yes, there will be a little bit of a learning curve to get through, but nothing too difficult.
Second, which maps are installed on your Montana 680? This will make a difference in how you plan your walks etc.
Have you visited GPSrChive yet? There is a lot of information there about the Montana 680 as well as a collection of How To... pages that might get you going in the right direction....
