It looks like firmware 5.80 is supposed to fix your issue.

It appears the low speed map rotation issue is fixed with the 5.80 firmware update.
Just took it for a quick test and now the map rotates around as it should at low speeds after testing the same way as previously.
The issue with the guidance text is not fixed.

When not navigating and not on a road with guidance text set to always show, it just says 'Ready to navigate' until a speed of 11 kilometres per hour is reached.
Once that speed is reached it then says 'Driving west' or whatever direction you're heading.
It should probably change to whatever direction as soon as movement is detected.
This issue is seen on the 276CX, Montana 700 series and Montana 600 series.
Garmin advised me a while ago it would be fixed with future updates.
