GPSMAP 65, 65s Firmware Update 3.80 released 08OCT21:

Changes made from version 3.70 to 3.80:

• Fixed possible issue acquiring a GPS fix.

This update is being released in stages via Garmin Express, and should be available to everyone soon.

My new 65s came with 4.00, should I be "downgrading" to this firmware or wait longer?

No, I would keep 4.00 loaded!

I live in southern Brazil. I had the same problems reported here. I upgraded my garmin gpsmap 65s to version 3.80, verified that it has stabilized the signals from the satellites of the Galileo constellation. Now just go on the adventure!
