If you record an activity on Montana 700 series and rename it, while being saved, the saved activity will contain zero points, basically being empty. In order to reproduce this, a very long name must be used. Additionally, such activity cannot be deleted anymore. Only manually via USB.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Record an activity through "Recording Controls"
2) When at least 2 points are recorded, press the save button in "Recording Controls"
3) Press on default activity name "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS", to change name
4) Enter as new name "This is a a very long long long name" (This is the maximum allowed length)
5) Confirm with green checkbox.
6) Press save icon
7) Open "Recorded Activities"

What happens:
* Activity has been saved as "This is a a very long l=" name, which apprently has been cut.
* Opening activity confirms, that it has zero points, which means, all recorded saved data is lost.
* Using "Delete" to delete this activity just goes back to list of showing all activities, but activity has not been delete. The only way to delete is by connecting Montana via USB and delete on PC/Mac manually.

Currently unable to reproduce, please retest after the next firmware update and report your results!

May I ask, what happens for you after using such long name?

Nothing spectacular. The activity names are limited to 36 characters, and saving them as such results in both saved activities (FIT) and saved tracks (GPX) that retain all original information:

Thank you. This is really strange, why it works for you. Could be this related to some region difference? Based on you screenshots, I see, that we are using the same function, but yours just works, as it should.

We are not using the same software version, and that is why I ask you to retest after the next update is published.

I can confirm, that issue seems be fixed with firmware 10.50. Delete also works.

But I noticed a minor UI issue. When used a activity name with all 36 chars, only 35 chars are display in list, but when opening an acitvity, all 36 chars are being shown. It is strange, as the list has enough free space to show all 36 chars?

Seems fixed with firmware 10.80, all 36 chars are being now shown.
