If I do plan a simple A->B route via Where To? and change afterwards the activity, the route will be re-calculcated to the new activity. when I do now add a via point to this route, it's being again re-calcalcuted, but now this the activity, which is set in the profile, not the choosen before. Can anyone reproduce?

How are you determining which routing activity is being used after each route calculation?

Nowhere does the unit tell you what activity was used.

Initially, I have set 'Motorcycle' activity as default. I have enabled avoidance of highway in this activity. Switching to 'Car' activity, which has enabled highway. So I can see, if highway is being used or not, when oberving this behauvior.

Thank you, that was the information we needed to duplicate.

Garmin replied to me, that this is normal behauvior, as adding a via point causes to create a new route and this would always use profile default.

We disagree, and feel adding via points should not affect or change the already user selected activity.

I also agree. But I don't know, what to say to Garmin, since they stand on their point

Garmin again confirmed, that this is by design and won't be changed
