Hello,

I have been using the USA OSM Topo Routable maps of the whole country found here:

However, with version 36 released last October 2022, the whole country map is not longer available, only the regional maps are. This makes the maps harder to use with Basecamp.

I have tried to contact the owner using the contact page:

However, I get an error message when trying to send my message.

Anyone has insight on why the map for the whole country was removed from the website?

It has been just under 10GB, which is OK because it was never intended to be copied to a GPSr directly, but rather to install to the PC HDD so BaseCamp can use the entire map simultaneously, not just regions of it.

This is correct, you would install the map in basecamp and install it on the GPS afterward. It created 4 large .img files on the GPS.
Now, the continental US is divided into 6 regions making it more difficult to use in Basecamp.

Only the website administrator knows for sure.

I am still using v35, and will wait to see if this 'glitch' is resolved when the next version is published.

Hi All!

Sorry for removing full map of USA. It was rarely downloaded and people mostly download only first part, which is useless.

Please try alternative. I have packed kind of US Basemap, which is here (not sure if I can post links yet):

You can unpack it on PC and install the same way as any other of my maps. It contains all parts of full map except detailed maps. It can be viewed in MapSource and BaseCamp as an overview map.

Missing details should be in subfolder "USA_OSM_Topo.gmapi\USA_OSM_Topo.gmap\Product1\". These maps you can copy form regional parts of USA of the same release version. For example for Hawaii region the folder is "\US_Hawaii_OSM_Topo.gmapi\US_Hawaii_OSM_Topo.gmap\Product1" and contains following data:

If you copy folders with 8-digit name form Product1 of Hawai to Product1 of basemap, then these details become visible in Basemap. If you copy details from all 8 region, then you will get a full map of USA.

Some detailed maps are duplicated in more then one region. These are the same data, you can skip them when copying (or overwrite).

The instructions on how to rebuild the map worked for me as well. I have installed the map on my GPS successfully as well.
If you do not intend to supply the full map again, may I suggest adding these instructions, and the overview map on your web site or when you release v37?

I'm going to put this basemap version on my site, since it is working for you.

The previous version is not complete, some not important tiles are missing. It could be troublesome if you try to send whole map to GPS. Here is corrected basemap:

If you have already installed previous version, then simply add subfolders from new archive. Or overwrite installation with data from new archive.
