GPSMAP 67 Firmware Update 4.80 released 11APR23:

Changes made from version 4.70 to 4.80:
  • Added flashlight shortcut to the status page.
  • Fix issue where distance to destination was not reporting correctly at slow speeds.
  • Fix issue where GPS accuracy was not reporting correctly.
This update is being released in a "phased roll-out". Garmin have indicated a full change log may be published after they reach 100% release. Until such time, their wish is for everyone to operate completely in the dark.

Please share your observations here!

Apparently nothing of my concern was fixed? Duplicated bars at satellite page are still there, Bug 11 is still there. The only change is that there is now a shortcut for the flashlight under the menu, when you push turn on button shortly. Still no automatic keylock...

Wow, I can't believe that a majority wanted this shortcut with the flashlight? I want to know this person, who can influence garmin so strongly..

ok nevermind, apparently they did change something significant. The gnss accuracy is now indicated almost at 1.8m even in bus. I did not analyse the track record yet, but the gnss accuracy number behaves now like on the 66sr. Though I never saw it go below 1.8m, but it was just a 1h observation.

Weather heavy cloudly and it rains, so I don't think it has something to do with good weather.

GPS softwareversion is still 2.46.

I am sending back my 67 today so there will be no more benchmarking. If you want to check accuracy and response. Set the point recording to an interval of 1-2s and give it a moose test. On the sidewalk from edge to edge.
I didn't pay much attention to what I see with GNSS. For me, the position I am in is important. For this, you rather need to change the GPS version.

Is 4.80 really out and downloadable on Garmin Express, because in France this is not the case, someone went to see.

without indiscretion, what country do you live in? Because in France Garmin does not respond to our requests online or by email.

So yes, I guess the real tracking did not really improve as far as I see.
