Dear All,
I am looking for GPSmap 67 model. I was using 65s but lifetime of battery in 67 is something worth changing for.
My question is about differences between new devices.
67i has inReach function (100 Euro more)
67 has GLONASS (but 67i has Iridium, due to InReach function)
They have different color
Both are MultiGPS devices
Question about battery life... looking at comparison

I have a feeling that 67i has similiar battery lifetime, up to 180 h. So it means that paying more I can gain more... Or it is not that simple?
Does 67i is just 67 with InReach? How about accuracy?
Is someone able to help me a bit?
Kind Regards,
Filip

As there are no more 66sr you have to fall back on the 67, personally I will not change and in the future I will no longer take Garmin following the clamping of the firmware. I love making my maps too much to load them onto the GPS. I've always done this since my GPS60CSX and my Oregon 450 from 2013 and up.

But the question is if 67 or 67i is better Before (in case of 66 series) difference was huge, regardning multi GNSS. But right now 67i is missing only GLONASS...

mimichris, do you have a GPSMAP 67?
What maps can you not load?
We load many third party maps without issue to our GPSMAP 67.

FBO, the additional cost of the 67i is only for the inReach hardware, otherwise they are identical.

I don't have a 67 but a 66sr for some time which has been fine with me since the last firmware.
In France the 67 costs 50€ more than the 66sr.
the 66sr: €499 I paid €449 for it in Germany.
the 67; 549€

I make my JNX maps from IGN maps at 25k, topos and satellite maps, of better quality than Garmin.
And like every time we change GPS if we bought maps from Garmin, they are linked to the GPS and you can't use them on a new GPS, you have to buy them back, it's Garmin's policy. So with my system I can use the maps bought for an old GPS on the new one.

I create my own IMG custom maps and have no trouble getting Garmin MapInstall to install them on the 67.
Here's a video explaining how they are made.
Spoiler
As far as purchased maps, Garmin lock them a long time ago to the device they were purchased for. The TopoActive Maps that come installed on the 67 are a vast improvement over the Base maps of past (e.g., they route) and you may find you no longer need to purchase additional maps.
Concerning the original post - If you are coming from a 65s, the screen resolution is a lot better with the higher pixel count. The 67 boots fast (8 seconds?) and locks onto satellites almost instantly. Map downloads and updates are over WIFI.

Note that you can make KMZ maps with Mobac, and place them in the "Garmin/CustomMaps" directory of the 67; they can hold 500 tiles making them big cards. Spoiler

And should I be worryng about lack of GLONASS system ? And regarding official website, Expedition mode in 67i is shorter than in 67... is it possible to switch off inReach functions completely in 67i and to have the same battery lifetime for both gps mode and expedition ?
Jnx. Made by ovner are not supported even Birdseye service is working ?
