I've found a deterministic (surefire) way to reproduce the restart bug I've been observing on my device:

1. Power on the device
2. Long-press the back button to open the glances menu
3. (The list of Glances I have in my menu are Compass, Sun, Moon)
4. Select the "Edit" menu item at the end of the Glances menu.
5. Under "Edit Glances", select the "Add" menu item at the end of the menu.
6. Click the back button to go back to the "Edit Glances" menu.
7. Click the back button again to go back to the "Glances" menu.
8. At this point, my unit restarts always.

Is anyone else able to reproduce this?

In response to my question, I was able to reproduce the crash on multiple eTrex SE devices. So this is clearly a reproducible crash for Garmin. I had reported it to Garmin support; let's see if they fix it.

Reproduced, added to the GPSrChive > eTrex SE > Common Issues page, and reported to Garmin software engineers.
