As per the title, is it possible to get notified when the battery on gps is low?

I looked into the options but very honestly I did not anything specific.

Wait until your battery is significantly discharged, then a message will appear.

Ok, does it also make a sound or just a notification on the screen?

The same sound as, for example, when satellite coverage is lost.
