I noticed, that setting Setup -> Marine -> Marine Alarm Setup -> Deep Water / Shallow Water can't be set to a value lower that certain values. If device is being rebooted, the value is back at default.

Example:
Set Deep Water to 30 meter, it will be after reboot back at 30.5 meter, when enabled
Set Shallow Water to 5 meter, it will be after reboot back at 6.1 meter, when enabled.

Is this some unknown marine limitation to me or a bug? Firmware 20.30.

What happens when you set it to a higher value? Maybe it doesn't accept any change.

On the GPS 76 the default values are 30.5 m (100 ft) for deep water and 6.1 m (20 ft) for shallow water. There is no limit on this device, I can set both to 0.1 m.

Thank you. You are right. Setting to a higher value (tried 10m/40m) also does not work and is being reset after reboot.

Garmin created an internal ticket for this issue.

Fixed by 20.50.
