I'm hoping those positive improvements include Garmin's ever horrible pogo charging system. Not sure why they can't do wireless charging, or hardwired with a barrel type screw connector. I've had pogo/charging issues with every one of my previous Garmins on multiple motos: 66i, Zumo XT, 700i, Tread BE #1 #2 #3. But aside from that I've loved my Tread, so we shall see.

Please consider sharing a copy of the GarminDevice.xml file from your Tread 2 before you install any updates, just the way it arrives in the box.
This file is located here on your Tread 2: Internal Storage/Garmin/GarminDevice.xml.
