inReach MINI 2 Firmware 4.29 published 12FEB25:
Changes made from version 4.28 to 4.29:
- Improved activation flow
- Fixed lockup due to large activity files
This update is being released in stages via Garmin Express, Garmin Explore app and Garmin Messenger app, and should be available to everyone soon.

Ok apparently this is the changelog of 4.28 that Express showed me for version 4.29.
I sincerely do not understand why Garmin only share the changelog until the update has rolled out to 100% of devices…

The issue of High Detail Activity Recording not recording in high detail if Auto Track is On is still not resolved in this version.
It's over 3 years now since this was first reported.
