eTrex Solar rebooting every 10 minutes

Hi,
I had been using my eTrex Solar until end of last year without any issues, and stopped using it for about 6 months. When I started using it again, I noticed that the FW had been updated:
- SW Version: 4.21
- Host: 4.21
- GPS: 9.01
- BLE: 3.0
Now, every time I use it in motion (e.g. during a bike ride), it keeps rebooting itself after around 10 minutes of use. It doesn't matter whether I'm navigating a route or not, or whether I'm saving the route or not. However, after the reboot it stops navigating and saving anything, which is obviously a real pain, specially if I'm riding a bike and have to go through all the menus to follow a path again.
Additionally, after the reboot, popups keep showing constantly in the upper part of the screen (every second), saying that I'm walking, and for how long I have done it. Those popups are very persisting, and it's hard to navigate the menus while they keep showing up.
I tried resetting the unit's configuration to the factory one, but the behaviour is the same.
Is there any way to go back to the original FW version of the unit?

I thought my eTrex had done it again once last week while biking, and it has done it at least three times while hiking this weekend. When it starts rebooting every 10 minutes, he keeps on doing it and it's absolutely annoying, so I just turned it off and used my phone to guide the route.
