My device with firmware version 9.20 keeps crashing when starting a navigation program. First, the map loads very slowly. Then the screen goes dark. It switches off and restarts on its own.

Please provide more than basic detail so someone can try to help you through your issue.

We need to know exactly what actions you are taking in exact order, results of each, maps loaded, maps enabled, etc. etc.

While walking through an unfamiliar city, I was looking for a point of interest (POI) to use as a destination in the direction I wanted to go. I started navigation with walking routing. The path I was following was displayed in color. The navigation was working correctly at that point. After walking around the city for a while without a destination, I selected the POI again from "Recently Found" to be guided back. Walking routing again. Then the device became very slow. The OSM map loaded slowly, initially appearing completely white. The map didn't rotate when I turned the device. It froze. The screen went dark. After about 15 seconds, the device restarted. I then had to end the navigation and restart it again. Only then was I able to start the POI again with the walking route from "Recently Found," and it worked.

Ahh, so this only happened once, worked OK after?

I'm using the OSM map from Germany. The map has good contrast and lots of information. I drive to a city. There, I search for a destination in the surrounding area that I want to explore under "Find all POIs." I start navigation with walking routing. It works. From this destination, I continue walking to explore the area. Track recording is enabled and visible on the map. After I've finished my shopping and strolling for a few kilometers, I search for the destination again under "Recently Found." Walking routing. The map loads slowly; first it's white, then the map appears. Everything reacts sluggishly. It doesn't rotate. Everything is frozen. The screen goes dark. After a few seconds, the device restarts. But it doesn't work properly. I end navigation and turn off the device. After turning it back on, I start navigation as before, and it works.

This has happened several times before.
