I have gone through all the setting for the compass and when I switch to the Compass all I see is the ring.
There is not dark blue arrow showing north.
The compass works with no problems at all. (it has been calibrated)

The only thing that show is the ring turns to the north with the letter N.


it is a 66S
software v3.40
GPS v2.70
CIQ 3.0.8

The 'Bearing' indicator only appears when actively navigating. It does not point North, it points toward the destination.

Have never used it with my eTrex and now I know what it is for with the 66S.

You website has helped my out a lot with the 66S.
