SW 3.40

In the waypoint Manager I can select „delete all waypoints“.
After filtering for special waypoints e.g blue flag it is not possible to delete all waypoints in this selection.
This is different to other older gps models.
I would like to delete a selection of waypoints and not all one after another. It is boring if you have a couple of waypoints which you don’t need anymore. Using pc software to do it by synchronisation is no option for me in the field.
It should be build in a handheld device.
Did this work in older garmin software versions like 2.x ?

If you read GPSrChive > GPSMAP 66 > Common Issues > Bug 46

You will see that this functionality was removed as of firmware version 2.90 to resolve Crash #4 (described further down on that same page).

Unfortunately, instead of fixing the underlying issue, Garmin software engineers decided to take the easy way out here by simply removing the functionality altogether, which was a huge disservice to their user base.

Please CALL Garmin directly and request they correct the issue properly and return the function to the units. Feel free to quote this post, and the bug /crash reports from GPSrChivve.

Well, I am living in Germany and had a call 2 days ago to the German support. They were not aware of the problems I had. The German support is just forwarding tickets. My English and bank account is not good enough to call the U S support.
I guess. So I have the feeling that it is a wong decision to buy a Garmin 66

I am very disappointed that nothing changed in SW 4.10 and SW 4.20.
Looking back it may have been a better decision to buy a Gpsmap 64 and not the 66, because of the bugs. I guess European voices are not been heard , maybe US voices are more lucky ?

We feel very confident more substantial firmware updates are not far away.

This is not solved in SW 7.60 and in the mean time I think, it won‘t be fixed.
I will try to make the request again, but the last time the german support answered that nobody want‘s / asked for this feature.

Maybe someone of the US customers may ask again for this feature to make more preasure?
