bug/issue? gives signal when battery is low, even if message tone is off

Hi.
An observation on GPSMAP 66st.
software 4.10 GPS 2.70.

I had looked at the statuspage when this occured. Battery indicated 1 bar out of 4.
I have tones ON, but message tone OFF and key press tone OFF, some other tones for proximity and routing ON.

All of a sudden the device gave me a warning that battery is low, it showed this message on the screen + gave a beep.
I would not expect any beep since i had turned off message tones.

I have not been able to safely reproduce it, but i think that with my set up, no warning beep should be given, only message on the display.

Is anyone else observing the same?

I believe system warning tones are always enabled to be certain the user is aware of critical system issues.

In most other cases when the battery is low and the message is shown, if the message sounds are off it will not beep. That's what's made this beep unexpected, but again i dont know exactly how to reproduce it.

i was almost up on battery, with only one bar left on the indicator.
at this stage i started a routing to a location, while the calculation went on, the low-battery warning constantly showed the message and kept beeping, there was no way to turn the sound off.
