Garmin Have Announced the GPSMAP 65

Garmin have announced the new GPSMAP 65 series.

The GPSMAP 65/65s is an evolutionary update to the popular GPSMAP 64 series, and includes a Multi-Band Multi-GNSS receiver, preloaded TopoActive mapping, and 16 GB of internal storage.

It would be interesting for me to know whether the firmware is on par with the latest firmware updates for the Oregon 700 or GPSMAP 66 regarding the support for the additional waypoints part of a geocache to be downloaded via geocaching live.

No GCLive or child waypoint support on the GPSMAP 65 series - Just like the GPSMAP 64 before it.

Oh I see. So the information on the Garmin site is wrong (geocaching live is mentioned there).

Yes, the Garmin website is incorrect, and they have been informed about the error.

So far the only difference I see between this and 64x series is that this has 16gb memory as opposed to 8gb. That and the multi band/multi GNSS

Multi-Band and Multi-GNSS are the very purpose this model serves.
