Expedition Mode

• Expedition Mode places the GPSMAP 66i into a low power state and can extend battery life up to 8 days.
• Only GPS satellites are used while Expedition Mode is active (Galileo, WAAS and EGNOS are disabled).
• The Status LED next to the power button will flash green once every 5 seconds to indicate Expedition Mode is active.
• Tracklog recordings are updated at a variable rate based on device movement and activity while in Expedition Mode.
• inReach Messages and Tracking Points may be delayed while Expedition Mode is active.
• All Tracklog Auto Save settings are disabled while recording in Expedition Mode.
• Choose the desired Expedition Mode behavior:
  
  
  • Prompted (You will be prompted to enter Expedition Mode when powering the GPSMAP 66i off)
  • Auto (After 2 minutes of inactivity, the GPSMAP 66i will enter Expedition Mode automatically)
