Overview

• Monitor your speed and cadence as you ride with these easy-to-install wireless sensors.
• The Bike Speed Sensor 2 attaches to the hub of either wheel and self-calibrates with your Edge cycling computer or compatible Garmin device to give you accurate speed and distance at all times - even without a head unit.
• The Bike Cadence Sensor 2 fastens to any size crank arm and measures pedal strokes per minute so you can get the most out of your training.
• Send live speed, distance and cadence data to compatible training apps or displays by using ANT+ connectivity and Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
• With both of these sensors on your bike, you can work to improve your personal best or see where you stand against the pros.

Getting Started

• While the Bike Speed + Cadence Sensors are ready to use right out of the box, we do recommend checking and/or replacing the CR2032 batteries installed during production before mounting them to your bicycle.
• The sensors will now be ready to pair with Garmin Connect (or other training apps and devices) and/or connect with your compatible GPSr.
• Garmin Bike Speed and Bike Cadence Sensors can be paired with any number of ANT+ devices.
• The Bike Speed Sensor 2 can pair with up to two Bluetooth devices.

Pair GPSr and Bike Speed Sensor

• Bring GPSr and Speed Sensor within 3m (10 ft) of each other
• Ensure no additional wireless sensors are located within this 3m (10 ft) range
• Rotate wheel with Bike Speed Sensor (without turning crankshaft) 2 full revolutions to wake the sensor (green LED flashes for 5 seconds)
• If the LED flashes red, the battery charge level is low and requires replacement.
• If the LED does not flash, check battery installation for correct polarity and replace as needed
• Select [Setup] > [Sensors] or [ANT Sensor] > [Bike Speed Sensor] > [Search For New]
• GPSr will report 'Searching...'
• If a Bike Speed Sensor 2 is located, your device may allow you to choose either an ANT+ or Bluetooth connection:
  • ANT+ - Allows unlimited device connections.
  • Bluetooth - Only a limited number of device connections are allowed (usually 2).
• The GPSr will report 'Connected' once the Bike Speed Sensor is paired.
• It may be helpful to continue rotating the wheel during this initial setup procedure

Pair GPSr and Bike Cadence Sensor

• Bring GPSr and Cadence Sensor within 3m (10 ft) of each other
• Ensure no additional wireless sensors are located within this 3m (10 ft) range
• Rotate crankshaft (without turning wheels) 2 full revolutions to wake the Bike Cadence Sensor (green LED flashes for 5 seconds)

• Select [Setup] > [Sensors] or [ANT Sensor] > [Bike Cadence Sensor] > [On]
• GPSr will report 'Searching...' then 'Connected' once a Bike Cadence Sensor is located
• The GPSr may not display 'Connected' until the Bike Cadence Sensor starts transmitting data

Disable Bike Speed Sensor

• Select [Setup] > [Sensors] or [ANT Sensor] > [Bike Speed Sensor] > [Off]
• GPSr will report the Bike Speed Sensor as 'Disabled'

Disable Bike Cadence Sensor

• Select [Setup] > [Sensors] or [ANT Sensor] > [Bike Cadence Sensor] > [Off]
• GPSr will report the Bike Cadence Sensor as 'Disabled'

View Bike Speed + Cadence Sensor Data on GPSr

• Bike Speed + Cadence data can be viewed on your GPSr in multiple Data Fields
• Data Field availability may vary from one device to another

BaseCamp and Bike Speed + Cadence Sensor Data

• With Bike Speed + Cadence sensors connected, your track log recording will include speed and cadence data with each track point saved.
• Saved Track Logs can be imported into BaseCamp for analysis.
