GNSS chipset?

Unread post by JungleJim »

Does anyone know which GNSS chipset the GPSMAP 67 uses? Just out of curiosity :)

Let's do some speculation: my guess would be that it is the same as in the Fenix 7/Epix 2/etc smart watches, which is the Airoha AG3335M chip (see DC Rainmaker). This guess is based on two things: same GPS Software version (2.46) on GPSMAP 67 and Fenix 7/... and support of the same GNSS systems.

What do you think?

Very confusing. Your website claims, that Beidou is on board in the fenix 7, but Garmin website does not mention it. Ah garmin marketing section, what are you doing?

This Fenix 7X teardown revealed an AG3335MN GNSS chipset.

The GPSMAP 67 series uses the AG3335M GNSS chipset.
