Geocache lists function causes GPS to reboot [Crash 1]

Just performed a quick test:

1) deleted the .ggz file present in /garmin/ggz/ - no fix, 'geocache lists' crash remains,
2) downloaded a few caches using 'download caches' function then tried 'Geocaching lists' again, issue resolved, no more crash,
3) did a 'remove live data' then tried 'Geocaching lists' again, issue still resolved, no more crash, but wait,
4) power off/on GPS - the crash is back.

After step 3 'remove live data', the power off/on is required for the crash problem to return.

Is point 1 necessary?
If yes, can I delete this file only with a computer or on the road with an app like garmin explore?
Crahs garmin only if there are no caches loaded bevor loading the list or every time after power on/off?

The latest update to 6.60 hasn’t fixed this.
So the OTA list downloads remains non- functional
