Hello all,
Hope you are doing well.
Sometime ago I just found a cheap eTrex 30, so I just went ahead and bought (some years ago I had a 30x).
I found it a pleasure to use, but the other day I found an annoyance I also had on the 30x: while navigating a gpx I don't have the direction arrows.
Is there a way to have it?
When we are using the eTrex routing to a point it has the arrows

The eTrex 30(x) will show direction arrows if:
- there is a routeable map on the eTrex
- the routing setting is other than "direct"
- you have activated a route, not a track

Thanks for the sum up.
For example if I download a gpx from komoot like thione for example:
Most likely it would be a track. Is there a way to convert to route?
Thanks for your support

I created an online tool for easy conversion of a track (or route) to a direct route with strategically chosen points:
It’s in Dutch, click on the translation button top right to translate it.
