Oregon 700 - Original files needed
Is there a way to get the original files that came with the Oregon 700? I don't mean the firmare but the files that were initially on the device.
I think I lost some files...

Why do you think you are missing some files?
Garmin Express can reload firmware, maps, text and language files, etc.

Have you tried using Garmin Express yet?
Please see the post directly above yours.
What steps did you take to format your Oregon 7x0 file system? You may have bricked it.

Yes, i have tried Garmin Express but it didn't see the Oregon 700
Silly steps... my Garmin was doing some weird things in the las weeks and i wrongly think that a format of the unit will regenerate de filesystem. My bad.
Thanks.

Re: Oregon 700 - Original files needed
Each time a Garmin GPSR is connected to a computer, a GarminDevice.xml file is created in the device internal memory. This file is essentially a manifest to be used by Garmin Express to identify the unit and contents.
If this file is not present on the device, Garmin Express will not be able to identify it.

The Oregon cannot create that file if the file system has the wrong format. FAT32 is the right one.
Hopefully you didn't repartition the device? That would cause even more problems...

Rmprepusb bring back to life my Oregon 700. After formatting the unit with it, Garmin Express regenerate all files correctly and now it's working perfectly!
Thanks everyone for helping me
