Random ascii code in map download page
After selecting the area you want to download the next page shows "download size" and "map layers" at the top, then download button ,then the name, then the storage location and then "available map layers" with a toggle button.
In this "available map layer" field I've been seening random ascii letters in this field. This last time I selected an area it put "min/SQL/mapsubsc" above the file size.
Anyone else seeing these weird characters or the above text?
I can press quit and then click select area and something different is in that field everytime.
I see ĐĞĞĞĞĞĞĞ, then ¾!&&&&, then X, then ÕÕÕ&&&, then ÂÔÄÄÄÄÄ and so on and so on.
If I move the selected area even one space I get a different series of 12 or so ascii characters.
Screenshots taken this time.

Re: Random ascii code in map download page
Looks like a corrupt internal storage to me. I would suspect a defective device. Definitely contact Garmin support about this and ask them to exchange the GPSMAP.

I would suggest a Master Reset.

Re: Random ascii code in map download page
A master reset will restore all settings to default and deletes personal data, history and saved user data like waypoints and tracks.
It will not remove any downloaded maps. So after doing a master reset I would connect the device to a computer and reinstall the maps with Garmin Express. Much faster and more reliable than downloading maps on the device via Wi-Fi.
