There is very little space left in the internal memory of my 32x. Is it possible to move the TOPOactive maps to the sd card?
Thanks
Martyn

Yes.
Use the Garmin Vector Map ID link on the GPSrChive > eTrex x2x > Maps page to identify the correct map files, and move them, as desired, to the Garmin directory on the microSD card. All map unlock and authentication files should remain on internal memory.

I don't know that this is required. When I updated my 32x (TopoActive 2024.20) recently as well as installing the purchased download version of Garmin Topo U.S. 24k, Garmin Express installed both of these mapsets onto the microSD card along with their respective .unl and.gma files. The authentication files were not installed in the /Garmin folder on the internal memory.GPSrChive wrote: Wed Mar 05, 2025 10:21 pm All map unlock and authentication files should remain on internal memory.
Of course, it doesn't hurt to have them on the internal memory...this was just an observation on my part as to where the authentication files are actually placed by Garmin.
