New 65s owner

Unread post by RickN55 »

Taken delivery of my new 65s today! I regretted selling my last one such a great unit and so accurate. With 67 being hugely in accurate on the ascent descent front which is one of the main things I like about handhelds as I climb a lot of hill/mountains. So thought I'd go back to the 65s as the ascent and descent was always 100% spot on my activities I did with it. Plus I am still a big lover of AA battery units as they're future proof, no battery inside to decline over the years.

As good as the 67 is with the battery I can't see the battery holding out for 10- 20 years, like my old 60CSx still works as good as the day I got it 20 years ago!

Did you end up keeping this 65s? How do you like it? Your sig says it's sold, so curious what the reason is if it's sold.

Trying to decide between the 67 and the 65s too.. Thanks.

I am happy with my 65s. It is very accurate; in the icy conditions it was only 1 meter off at the summit. Sure, it is a bit clunky and the screen is of low resolution but for me it is sufficient as I only used it occasionally. The battery was the main reason for me too.
