how to transfer BirdsEye Select Plus from old computer to the new computer

I am not the best when it comes to computers. I had to get a new computer (Windows 11). My old computer is Windows 10. I paid a lot of money for BirdsEye Select Plus which is on my old computer and device (65s). I have been trying to transfer the BirdsEye Select Plus maps onto the new computer. I just don't know how this can be done. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help. Thank you.

Please try the method provided at GPSrChive > BaseCamp > Data Management > Move BaseCamp Database.

Thank you for that. It was so simple and easy to do and I wish I had consulted you before connecting my device to the computer. Before taking your advice, when I connected the device to the new computer, the BirdsEye Select Plus was wiped out from the device and also something happened to the microSD card because it was not recognised and the device could not be ejected. After force shutdown of the computer and removing the microSD, it seems to be fine again although it took 8 hours to re-upload the BirdsEye Select Plus (only 1.8 GB) back onto the device. Strange behaviour.

It's hard to explain the failure to read the SD card, if everything worked fine,
considering, as you wrote, that you had the maps not only in Base Camp but also on the device,
it was enough to click "Receive from device" and all jnx from the device should be in the new Base Camp,
it would be left to transfer the maps to other lists.

I ended up reformatting the SD card and then it worked. The computer could not provide the information on the SD card (volume etc) and would not eject it. I wonder if in the process of swapping between the two computers I disconnected the device too early before finishing the download and that corrupted the card.

Garmin had told me the BirdsEye Select Plus maps from the device would upload onto Basecamp, that did not happen even after several hours. It's too late now, maybe you were too hasty when formatting the card, in my opinion you could have used disk repair (SD card) from Windows Properties - Tools - Check and repair, but we'll never know.

Maybe the Garmin representative had in mind the device synchronization with Base Camp, i.e. Receive from device that I wrote about.
