Transferring gpx files from Android to 276Cx directly.

Unread post by David49 »

Hi I'm new here. I've had a 276Cx for a number of years that I have used successfully for navigating on a motorcycle. This follows many years using a 276C I previously created route files whilst touring, directly on the units, and used the audio out cable via an Autocom unit to get the audio to my helmet.
I have 2 current problems:

1. No longer use the Autocom, and for simplicity use the Bluetooth output via a helmet mounted Sena S20 Euro to feed the audio into wired earphones. This has now stopped working, and although the276Cx connects to my Android phone via Bluetooth. The Unit will not connect to the Sena S20 via Bluetooth.

2. As I can now generate gpx route files on my Android phone and on an Android tablet whilst touring it would be very useful if I could transfer those gpx files straight onto the 276Cx. I have tried connecting the two devices by WiFi, Bluetooth etc but to no avail. I have used an OTG micro SD card reader to copy the files onto a micro SD card and hence to the 276Cx, but only one file out of 4 test files is visible in the 276Cx when viewed directly in the 276, but all are there when the 276 is connected to a PC via Garmin Express.

I would be very grateful if anyone can throw any light on these 2 problems.
