Oregon 700 stuck at Garmin Logo
Oregon 700 does not powerup and is stuck at splash screen. It beeps on button press, and does not show any messages. It is accessible via mass storage mode.
Changing the Firmware didn't help:
- install RGN Firmware v5.80 or v6.00
- update Firmware v6.0 using Garmin Express
Something with installing older firmware could have caused the issue.

Try removing all user created/added data (maps, gpx, poi, etc.), boot again and allow some time for it to rebuild index.

I've deleted all files via mass storgage access. Complete Folder index was rebuild.
The Oregon still shows only the Garmin Logo.

After noticing that the device does not turn on, have you performed a Full Reset?
Press and hold the User button.
Press and hold Power while continuing to hold the User button
Once the device powers on, release Power
When the message Do you really want to erase all user data? appears, release User button
Touch Erase

I tried to run the Full Reset with hold and user button.
Also, here, the Oregon only shows the Garmin Logo.

How long are you letting it stay on the 'Garmin' boot screen?
If any sizeable database changes have been made, it can require literally hours to re-index all internal memory (even if data was removed).
Is there a microSD card installed? if Yes, please remove it.

Re: Oregon 700 stuck at Garmin Logo
I would be patient and try a full reset several times.
The reset doesn't work on every attempt.
I'm not sure if the symptoms also apply to the Oregon 700, but sometimes the device has trouble starting after being turned on and off multiple times within a short period.
I noticed this when verifying changes made to custom maps or when verifying a modified TYP file.
Verification involves checking the display effect of the changes made, which requires frequent powering on and off of the device.
In these situations, I didn't try to fix anything; I left the device on until it worked. If I remember correctly, the record was about 2 hours.

Re: Oregon 700 stuck at Garmin Logo
I've download the 6.00 Firmware directly from Garmin. Then I proceeded with the RGN Firmware Install. No batteries installed, no SDcard. As soon as the updater displayed "Update completed", I unplugged the USB cable, inserted batteries, pressed power on, and let it run for about 10 hours until the batteries were dead.
The Oregon 700 is still showing only the boot screen with Garmin Logo. I heared two "info-beeps" at initial power-On. As well as single "warning-beeps" every 3-6 hours.
I also tried pressing the "power-on" button while holding the "hold" button. This looks similar - I see only the Garmin Logo and no messages at all.

Re: Oregon 700 stuck at Garmin Logo
I have similar issues every few months, maybe not identical to this. I have always followed the Turn off the Oregon, press and hold the upper left corner of the screen and power the unit on process. You have to hold the screen quite a while and sometimes this takes a few attempts to resolve. Has worked OK so far touch wood. I am running patched firmware 6.00.
