We will have to wait and see when the first public units are reviewed by our members!

I noticed is that "GLONASS" appears neither in the specs nor the owner's manual. This had no effect on my purchase, thereof.

Whether this is a result of sanctions is difficult to determine; using free access to the signal probably doesn't constitute cooperation covered by sanctions.

The GPSmap H1 device has three satellite signal availability options: "Auto Select," "All Systems + Multi-Band,"
and "GPS Only," so we don't know which satellite systems fall under "All Systems + Multi-Band" and "Auto Select."

GLONASS was originally made available with the eTrex x0 is 2011. At the time, it was the only global GNSS constellation available other than GPS. Adding GLONASS support at the time virtually doubled the number of available satellite signals available to the user. Fast forward 10+ years, and there are now multiple global GNSS systems available, all of them more advanced and more accurate than GLONASS. All of these newer GNSS constellations also provide multiple signal bands (L1/L5, E1/E5, B1/B2) to enhance their functionality, which GLONASS does not. GLONASS also interferes with the Iridium network on inReach models, and no longer provides any advantages. GLONASS is a dinosaur.
