GPSMAP H1/H1i Plus Firmware 5.09

Thanks @JungleJims. This has not yet been published by Garmin on Garmin’s official H1 “update release notes page, nor on the “new” (as of yesterday) Touch 2 “update release notes” page as of Wed, Nov 19. Don’t know how you got it but thanks for posting.

The GPSMAP H1 Series Firmware Update Release Notes has indeed not been updated yet.

I got the release notes first from Express (I have two computers with Express. I updated my H1 with one and Express did not show release notes. But when I opened Express on my other computer it showed the update with release notes).

And the release notes have indeed been posted to the GPSMAP H1i Plus forum on Garmin's forums.

Haven't tried to re-format the sd card, install the maps again or copy them to the internal storag yet. This will be done later today.

Did some more testing...
all tests have been perfomed with maps which have worked on 4.09 on the sd card wich was accepted on 4.09

1) re-formated SD card: FAT32 and extFAT (supported sind 5.09) and put the Freizeitkarte AUT+ on the SD card

NOK - same behavior

2) put the very same austrian map to internal memory

NOK

3) re-downloaded the map and tried 1) and 2)

NOK

can anyone point me to a map which is working on your device?
can anyone try to put the map mentioned in 1) on your device and check if its working?
