I have found that if I am successfully connected to Wi-Fi with successful data transfer, the connection will fail to transfer data (at least using Map Manager and browsing the TopoActive map updates) after an undetermined period of power-on time.
Example:
1. I am successfully connected to my personal Wi-Fi network on the Touch 2. I can successfully browse the Map Manager section and see the available TopoActive maps that I have available to install or remove from the device. (Map Manager>TopoActive Maps>Add: Requesting Map Update Data successfully connects and shows the TopoActive Maps on the unit and what can be added or removed)
2. I then exit Map Manager (swiping it up and off) and proceed with other things on the device, then leave it idle and powered on for say, an hour (this length of time has been undetermined). After that period of time, I again access Map Manger, and do the same as in step 1
3. The result is Map Manager failing to connect to show available TopoActive Maps The screen will remain stuck on "Requesting Map Update Data" or the screen
At this point, the device is still successfully connected to Wi-Fi (as shown under Settings>Connectivity>Wi-Fi>My Networks with my network being shown as connected and a strong Wi-Fi connection "fan" being displayed. All other devices connected to my Wi-Fi network work correctly at this point, except for the Touch 2 unit.
The unit will remain in this "stuck" state until it is power-cycled -or- the network is removed from the unit, then re-added. Immediately after the power-cycle or re-addition of the network, the unit will again be able to access Map Manager correctly to check for available TopoActive maps to add/remove, until the next undetermined period of idle time.
Issue has been reported to Garmin
Maybe if any of you H1 owners happen to read this, you can possibly check to see if this issue exists on those units. Last time I posted an issue most probably related to the H1, it was moved to this forum anyways so I'm not posting any new issues I find on the Touch 2 to the H1 forum anymore. The only reason I post there is because I'm fairly certain there is much more user traffic over there than here.

Re: Wi-Fi data transfer failure after x amount of power-on time
A bit more testing and this issue seems to manifest itself after unit’s display timeout has occurred and the screen goes dark. I have the Display Timeout setting set to 2 minutes, Tap to wake ON and Auto Lock OFF.
After display timeout occurs (I wait 2 minutes for the display timeout, plus an additional minute or more), I tap the display to wake the unit. Wi-Fi settings shows good connection to my Wi-Fi network, however data transfer is no longer happening as evidenced by accessing Map Manger where it fails as described in my first post. Manually turning off Wi-Fi and turning it back on on the unit does NOT correct it. The only sure way to get data transferring again is to power-cycle the unit. This is 100% reproducible on my end.
I don’t know if this is by design or not (possibly to save battery power if Wi-Fi is left on) but I have a work around. If Wi-Fi is being disabled to do this, the unit still shows Wi-Fi as being ON and connected when in reality, there is no data being transferred.
Seems silly to have to power-cycle to restore Wi-Fi functionality.
