Compass Dashboard Glitch [Bug 12]

I accidentally discovered a bug on my SE (v4.24) on my walk today - on the map and trip computer pages, if you set the dashboard to Compass, the compass appears, surrounded by graphical glitching.

I've posted a video of it.

I haven't seen anybody else report this yet, so I'm curious if anyone here can reproduce it. I've written Garmin.

I can confirm that Dashboard -> Compass is buggy on eTrex Solar and eTrex SE with FW 4.24. Your video clearly shows compass dashboard bug.

Few details:

• Compass icon rotation by itself works, it is moving and represents actual direction. Only compass background is wrong.
• Compass background is supposed to be transparent, but now it is partly black (upper part) and partly white (blank, lower part). See images below
• Compass dashboard also hides pan/zoom controls - controls work, but only small part of icons are visible in top left corner (it is mostly covered). See images below

Garmin have written back to say they have reproduced the issue, and to look for a fix in a software update.

Garmin never updated me on the status of the fix for this, despite offering to keep me in the loop, but firmware 4.25 released today, and it fixes this issue!

Wow, this was a very quick FW revision. Compass dashboard on eTrex SE/SOLAR has a transparent background in FW 4.25
