TopoActive Maps v2026.11 released

According to the Garmin link in the spoiler below, TopoActive maps have been updated to v2026.11.
Note: I have no idea if this corrects the boot-looping issue for EU maps and certain Edge models since I do not use those. That being said, the TopoActive EU map shown as available to download for me in Map Manager is still showing v2025.10.

EDIT: checking in Garmin Express just now, the maps have not yet been updated / released as v2026.10 is still showing. Seems they have updated the webpage before releasing the update. Or they could be releasing in stages. I'm just reporting what the web page states. Are they now updating the web page before the release is actually released? Much different from when the software was released with the web page update being weeks later.

Come to think of it, this may be an error by Garmin as far as the website's TopoActive version number goes. I don't recall seeing the TopoActive update webpage being updated to even reflect the release of 2026.10. Since they've made errors in the past regarding website grammatical errors (I remember one somewhat recently), this newly updated TopoActive page could just have a mis-typed version number of 2026.11 rather than 2026.10 and this web page update is actually for 2026.10, I don't recall the website ever being updated for 2026.10 and it has been out for nearly two months now.

Also, nowhere in the dropdown for the different TopoActive changes at that page is there a listing for 2026.10, let alone does there exist any updates with a .11 version number

Some TopoActive maps were updated to 2026.10 already some time ago (i.e. Topo Middle East or Africa)
For Europe there was withdrawal of 2026.10 version as they were corrupting some devices, so maybe 2026.11 is a re-release of the previously corrupted version?

Anyway, I do't see anything new available for the download yet.
For Europe it is still 2025.10 only

TopoActive 2026.10 was released two months ago, but it was rolled back after they found out it caused issues with several devices.
That's why they released a new version with a slightly different number.

Garmin Express still installs version 2025.10 of the TopoActive Europe maps on my H1, so not sure what makes this version 2026.11 different from what was released two months ago.

Also the Garmin support article linked to in the start post seems to have been reverted to TopoActive 2025.10.

Yup. The entire page has been reverted back after about a day after I initially posted. Since 2026.10 is still not available for EU, I would assume that the page posted as 2026.11 was likely a title error and that the 2026.11 page and it's changelog was actually meant for 2026.10.

It will be interesting to see what the page's next update will show.

The Europe 2026.11 maps seem to be available now, Garmin Express offered me to update the TopoActive Europe maps to 2026.11 (14GB in total for whole of Europe). Haven't installed them on my H1 yet.

And of course Garmin can't seem to get it right, again...

Garmin Express 7.29.1.0 on macOS fails to install all three Europe map regions. If I select all three regions, I get an error messages that Eastern and Western Europe regions cannot be removed. No shit, they are not installed yet. Installing individual regions also fails.

Edit: they seem to have been pulled again. Express now offers 2025.10 again. What a mess..

I'm a Mac user as well as a Windows user (from way back beginning with Win 3.1). I have never used nor installed Garmin Express on any of my Macs (currently MacBook Air M2 2022) and solely use Windows for any Garmin updating.

That being said, Garmin Express (Windows v7.29.0) shows 2026.11 as available (US, CN & AK) on the eTrex Touch 2. I have not started the update. And since I don't have EU installed, I don't know if 2026.11 EU would also be updated. If selecting one of these regions for a new download, it is NOT specified which map version it is that will be installed.

The eTrex 32x is not yet offered the 2026.11 update

2026.11 EU does show on the unit itself as installable & shows the "Download" button (but does NOT show the region map overview).

As mentioned, I only have the US installed so I'm not experimenting to see if 2026.11 EU would actually install.

2025.10 still shows on the TopoActive Map update page linked in my OP.

EDIT: Even more confusion and inconsistencies
I have an SD card clone of the eTrex Touch 2 that I use to check for updates without having to connect the actual unit. It still has TopoActive 2025.10 on it and it IS offered the 2026.11 update

The actual eTrex Touch 2 unit has TopoActive 2026.10 on it. It is NOT offered the 2026.11 update

I'm tempted to update the map on the clone to see what is actually installed...I'll report back.

Garmin seems to have their heads screwed on backwards.

I installed the available 2026.11 map update shown in Garmin Express to my eTrex Touch 2 SD card clone and the 2025.10 maps that were on the unit were indeed updated to 2026.11. I verified the version by using both IMGinfo & GMapTool.

I'll probably just copy these over to the real unit (same unit ID) rather than updating them again on the real unit.

So the maps are definitely updating, provided your unit is actually being offered the update.

EDIT:
Comparing the files sizes for both 2026.10 (already existing on the real eTrex Touch 2 unit) and 2026.11 (updated files on the clone), all US maps (at least the US, CN, AK & MX) are byte-for-byte the exact same size. So it appears that Garmin have only changed the version ID within the IMG file to reflect 2026.11 and is likely using the same map data as 2026.10. I'll verify the version number once I have 2026.11 transferred over to the real eTrex Touch 2...but since both IMGinfo & GMapTool verify this already, I can assume the real eTrex Touch 2 will as well.

This also wonder what the changelog listed (in my OP above) was actually for...2026.10 or 2026.11. Since there was never any changelog listed (at least none that I was aware of nor saw) for 2026.10, the changelog in my OP was probably for that and not for 2026.11 as the maps are byte-for-byte the same size between those versions.

EU maps on the other hand may likely be different in file size since these were the ones that were pulled for the boot-looping issue.
