I just found out why the multiband is sometimes switched off [Bug 4] for me it was a widget that shows me the SwissGrid coordinates. As soon as I opened this, it switched off multiband for me.
So take a look and see if it has something to do with the ConnectIQ widgets.

I've had no issues with the multi band apart from when I installed the what3words widget, that caused no end of issues with it turning the multi band and gps off altogether and then once it had got the location words it would only turn GPS on alone. Will never use the widget again.
Tbh the only widget I trust off IQ that causes no issues is the battery wudget that tells you what percentage you have left.
