Map position not centered with data fields enabled [Bug 5]

In the map page, when in “North Up” with “Small Data Fields” shown (or other data fields such as large, etc), the current GPS position isn’t centered correctly on the map.

The correct position for the current location should be adjusted slightly lower, to account for the data fields that are now covering part of the map screen. But the map position does not change at all when you enable data fields. This reduces the amount of area shown above the current GPS position.

Basically the map position is not adjusted to account for the data fields. This is not an issue in track up mode, because the gps position is in the lower part of the map, so with extra data fields on the top it still looks correct.

Not sure if this is only for the Solar, or same bug exists for the SE as well.

On Garmin eTrex SE (FW 4.22) "north up" and "track up" shows the same pictures as above. Turning data fields on/off does not change center position. With data field on, some north area is hidden when data fields are enabled in "north up" view.

IMO this is not a bug, but a design decision. Advantage of current approach is that center (and related waypoint) position is the same independent of enabled/disabled fields. Ideally there should be additional map setting with selection "keep center in the same place" or "move center according to available screen area".

It's possible that with a small screen, Garmin has stopped centering the map, or the shift is unnoticeable.

For a 3.8x6.3 cm screen, the offset when data fields are enabled is 1.0 cm for the North Up setting and 0.3 mm for the Direction Up setting
