H1: Holder system not compatible with other devices [HF 1]

The holder system of the H1 looks similar as for the GPSMAP 65/66/67 but it isn't.
The H1 fits almost in the existing holder (ex. to my backpack or bike-hoder) but it doesn't. It stocks already at the beginning.

Disappointing for me, as I've an older Oregon and a GPSMAP 66 and now I've to replace or extend the existing holders with the one for the H1 which looks almost the same (for me). Why Garmin does this? I would understand if they introduce something completely new, but just vary the dimension..

Someone, somewhere, for unknown reasons, decided it was time to re-invent the wheel, I mean, Spine Mount.

We are not happy about it either.
